Specific Responsibilities:
- Oversee and direct the day-to-day activities of Sample Receiving personnel
- Coordinate assignments of clients to Customer Service Representatives (Project Managers)
- Improve the accuracy and efficiency of the sample log-in process with the goal of minimizing COC review time.
- Work closely with the IT Department as required to implement new technologies and to resolve problems that delay the overall process of logging in samples to LMIS.
- Will intervene and mediate any client satisfaction or clarification issues between clients and client service personnel.
- Assists with the day-to-day activities in the customer service and receiving areas as warranted due to absences or high sample volume.
- Oversee sample disposal and continually investigate means to streamline this process.
- Work closely with Customer Service, clients, and the Quality Assurance (QA) Department to identify means to improve client COC paperwork submissions. The process goal to be reducing time required to identify client needs and ensure continued compliance with our corporate QA program and standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned and directed by the Sample Management Supervisor.
Management Skills Required:
- Experienced in hiring, training, motivating, evaluating, supervising, and retaining staff.
- Hiring skills needed include interviewing, screening, and orientating new hires. Will also have some knowledge of state and federal labor regulations.
- Skilled in evaluating and motivating staff to create an environment of teamwork and growth opportunities for each team member.
- Familiar with Performance Reviews to promote strong working relationships and foster teamwork.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate well with staff, management and clients.
- Skilled and experienced in creating and maintaining productive relationships in a confident and sensitive manner when dealing with people at all levels.
- Experienced and skilled at treating others with cooperation and respect and be able to understand and value both internal and external customers.
- Able to take ownership for meeting goals and objectives; willing to be accountable for own decisions, and willing to give 100%. Look for new ways to accomplish objectives.
- Multi-tasked, organized, detail oriented, and possess excellent problem-solving capabilities; will have good time management capabilities.
